Before coming to UMD I was a Szegö Assistant Professor at Stanford University. I received my PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012, where I was advised by Prof. David Harbater. (Click here for my complete mathematical genealogy.)

I do research in Arithmetic Geometry and Galois Theory. In my research I use aspects of algebraic geometry, number theory, etale fundamental groups, formal geometry, formal patching, and more.
