Multivariable Calculus

I am a member of a team of faculty who have been involved in the modernization of the sophomore-level Multivariable Calculus course, Math 241. This effort has centered around the introduction of a mathematical software system (namely Mathematica) into the course curriculum. Here is a Press Release that describes the project. The effort has culminated in a text, Multivariable Calculus and Mathemtica, with Applications to Geometry and Physics. The text was published by TELOS in May, 1998. A companion homepage is available.

See either the page ODE--SCHOL, or the page PRIMER--SCHOL for descriptions of the other development team, the SCHOL team, on which I am participating. That team has two projects, one involving Ordinary Differential Equations and the other involving a basic Mathematica Primer.
